STACY BARNES NAMED DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT FOR THE THEATRE @ BOSTON COURT

 

 

PASADENA, Calif., June 7, 2006 -- Founding Director Z. Clark Branson and Executive Director Eileen T'Kaye have named Stacy Barnes director of development for The Theatre @ Boston Court, the non-profit theatrical production company at the Boston Court performing arts complex. Owned by Branson, the 11,500-square-foot facility includes a 99-seat theatre and a 60-seat performance space in a two-story contemporary brick and steel structure. The Theatre @ Boston Court is in its third award-winning season.

 

Barnes returns to Los Angeles after spending a year in Washington DC working on a $20 million dollar capital campaign for the restoration of the Atlas Performing Arts Center, serving on their development staff as well as their board. In her capacity with the Atlas, Barnes also served as administrator for the Sprenger Lang Foundation. Previously, Barnes spent seven years working in the music industry where she was the creative director for Quincy Jones Music Publishing before moving on to serve as facilities manager for the west coast properties of Warner Music Group. She holds a double BA in English literature and theater from Eastern Kentucky University.

 

T'Kaye said of Barnes' appointment, "Stacy has been brought on to help me with board development, fundraising and strategic planning.  She will be an invaluable asset to our burgeoning organization."
