PASADENA, Calif., April 4, 2009 – Boston Court Performing Arts Center presents a masterful lineup of performers during the Spring Jazz Series of the 2009 Music at the Court season at Boston Court Performing Arts Center, 70 North Mentor.

The following weekend, on Friday, May 15, 8:30 p.m., flutist and composer Lori Bell and pianist David Mackay weave elegant musical lines throughout each piece they present. On Saturday, May 16, 8:00 p.m., popular Music at the Court pianist Bill Cunliffe returns with a trio featuring fierce jazz, played with intensity and ease.
On Friday, May 29, 8:30 p.m., percussionist Joe La Barbera and his quartet drive their music with authority, sensitivity and inspiration. On Saturday, May 30, 8:00 p.m., the Wilder Trio performs music from Gershwin to Ellington, with one foot in Jazz and one foot in classical music.
Renaissance opens the final weekend of the Spring Jazz Series on Friday, June 5, 8:30 p.m. with American street Doo-Wop at its a cappella best. On Saturday, June 6, 8:00 p.m. saxophonist Rickey Woodard and quintet play a soulful and seductive, bluesy river of sound. And on Sunday, June 7, 7:00 p.m., the series concludes with the rollicking, old-time southern-style Iron Mountain String Band.
