CLOSING WEEKENDS IN FALL SERIES OF MUSIC AT THE COURT FEATURES JAZZ AND CLASSICAL MUSIC
PASADENA, Calif., October 21, 2008 – Boston Court Performing Arts Center presents an eclectic lineup of jazz and classical music during the final two weekends in the Fall Series of the 2008 Music at the Court season at Boston Court Performing Arts Center, 70 North Mentor.
On November 1, 8 p.m., Quarteto Nuevo demonstrates their rhythmically driving and graceful melodies, fusing jazz with world music. Internationally recognized guitarist John Schneider plays Bach and other classics from 19th and 20th century composers on November 2, 7 p.m.
The final weekend of the Fall Series kicks off November 8, 8 p.m. with Susan Svrcek, piano and Susan Jensen, violin collaborating in a very personal program of old and new classics and rare repertoires. The season closes November 9, 7 p.m. with pianist Larry Karush and Friends performing an evening of rhythmic and lush jazz.
Music at the Court concerts are held in Boston Court's Marjorie Branson Performance Space, an intimate and acoustically exquisite hall of warm woods and metal construction. All shows are $25 general admission, $20 senior/student.
Music at the Court is a presentation of Boston Court Performing Arts Center under the leadership of Executive Director Michael Seel. Music at the Court talent producer is Mimi Champlin.
