MAINSTREET THEATRE COMPANY ANNOUNCES CAST FOR "CINDERELLA"
Production Company Continues Its Fourth Season of Theatre for Young Audiences
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 5, 2010
Rancho Cucamonga, CA – The MainStreet Theatre Company is pleased to announce the cast for "Cinderella," opening at the Lewis Family Playhouse January 30. Mark Rucker directs.
MainStreet is delighted to welcome back six extraordinary performers that have been in the company's previous shows, and one new addition to the company. Tracy Thomas, last seen in MainStreet's "Dreams of Anne Frank" and "The BFG" will be a sweet Cinderella. Jeremy Lelliot ("Dreams of Ann Frank") will be her Prince. Reggie De Leon, a MainStreet favorite (last seen as Toad in "A Year with Frog and Toad") plays Harold – the White Rabbit from Alice In Wonderland who wanders into the wrong story by mistake. Ann Marie Lee (last seen as Aunt Spiker and the Ladybug in "James and the Giant Peach") is the Fairy Godmother. Rounding out the cast are Robyn S. Clark ("A Year with Frog & Toad") and Emily Eiden (Charlotte in "Charlotte's Web) as the stepsisters, and Christia Mantzke, as the stepmother.
"We are so thrilled to welcome back so many of our past performers to this very special version of Cinderella," says Mireya (Murry) Hepner, MainStreet's producer. "I know our young audiences will recognize a lot of their favorite actors, and it's great that in our fourth season we are truly becoming a place where actors of this caliber want to return again and again."
As an added treat, the show's authors, Phylis Ravel (book) and David Coleman (music & lyrics), who have not seen each other since the script was first published, will join director Mark Rucker for a talk-back with the audience after the 4:00 performance on January 30.
The creative team, in addition to Rucker, includes: Janice Rodgers Wainwright, musical director; Janet Miller, choreographer; Michael C. Smith, scenic design; Brian Gale, lighting design; and Angela Balogh Calin, costume design.
