BARK! TO CLOSE AUG. 13 IN LOS ANGELES

LOS ANGELES, June 20, 2006 - "Bark!" the hit musical playing at the Coast Playhouse in West Hollywood will close on Sunday, August 13 after nearly two years and 400+ shows in Los Angeles. "Bark!" has achieved the distinction of becoming the third-longest running production in the modern era of LA intimate theatrical history.

New "Bark!" productions will open soon in New York, Palm Springs, Portland, Memphis and Key West.

Performances are scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., Sundays at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., and in the last two weeks, extra shows will be added at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays, August 2 - 3 and 9 - 10.

Since opening in September 2004, the critically acclaimed show has continued to play to sell-out audiences. "Bark!" is about man's best friend, told and sung from the dog's point of view. Acclaimed director/choreographer Kay Cole guides the talented ensemble cast through the funny, fast-paced and poignant show with music by David Troy Francis and lyrics by Gavin Geoffrey Dillard, Robert Schrock, Jonathan Heath, Danny Lukic and Mark Winkler. Francis is also musical director.

The original cast recording of "Bark!" is available at www.barkthemusical.com and Amazon.com.
